Adobe InDesign™ Level I |
| InDesign
Level I explores the polished interface common to Adobe products
and reveals InDesign's intensive page design, document, and
text editing capabilities. You will be introduced to many of
the interface and toolbox elements that permit creation and
editing of single or multi-page documents. You will also work
with imported graphics, text wraps, and layers while learning
to keep your page elements organized with guides. Bézier
creation with the object & pen tools, gradient fills/strokes,
and defining custom color palettes will also be covered. You'll
also learn to apply transparency effects such as drop shadows
and feathering effects to native objects and placed graphics.

InDesign Level II continues
the exploration into Adobe’s impressive page layout program.
In-depth use of Style Sheets and Master Pages will be covered
resulting in a greater understanding of their potential and
their time-saving benefits. Additionally, you will learn how
to create and use tables, page numbering, multiple page documents,
text linking, anchored
images and paragraph rules. Useful elements such as the baseline
grid, spell checking, Find/Change, H& J settings and libraries
will also be covered.

Adobe Fireworks |
Fireworks was developed specifically for the
creation and editing of images for the web, and ideally integrated
with Dreamweaver and Flash. This course will cover many aspects
in maximizing its effectiveness, including bitmap editing and
photo-retouching. The vector toolset, drawing tools, vector brushes,
vector masks, and live filters and effects will be explained.
The creation and import of textures and styles will be demonstrated,
as will basic image animation and the use of Fireworks-generated
html. Image formats/features supported by various
browsers will be discussed, along with issues such as image export
and optimization, and slicing techniques for use in web page
designs. (9 hrs)

Adobe Flash Level I |
introduces designers and web developers to Adobe’s
popular vector-based animation format for the web – Flash.
Become comfortable with Flash’s tools and interface and
quickly learn to create low-bandwidth animations and interactive
page elements. You will set up timeline based animations utilizing
keyframes and incorporating motion and shape tweens. Basic interactive
action scripts will be introduced and you will learn to export
these files to the web making sure they appear as intended on
various platforms and browsers.

focuses more heavily on creating and utilizing complex symbols
such as movie clips, interactive buttons and embedded symbols.
Learn to create and manage movies with multiple scenes. Incorporate
bitmaps and sound for optimum speed. Basic and intermediate action
scripting will be covered including using If/Then statements
to create preloading sequences and for processing text field
data.
